Dr. Dennis Hester is the Senior Vice President of Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls for Plexium.

Dennis is a product development executive with broad Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls (CMC) experience in the development of pharmaceutical and biologic products, including combination products, for a range of indications and routes of administration, from inception to launch readiness. Dennis brings over 30 years of experience in small molecule active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) and solid oral product development experience, including the CMC development of EXUBERA® (Nektar Therapeutics), BYETTA® and BYDUREON™ (Amylin Pharmaceuticals), ERLEADA® (Aragon Pharmaceuticals), and GVOKE HypoPen® (Xeris Biopharma), as well as for clinical programs at Intellikine and Mirati Therapeutics. Before joining Plexium, Dennis served as SVP, CMC for iTOLERANCE, where he was responsible for cGMP manufacturing, release, stability, and supply chain management for API preparation and finished drug product manufacturing. Before that role, Dennis served as SVP of Technical Operations at Calidi Biotherapeutics, VP of Product Development at Xeris Pharmaceuticals, and VP of Product Development and Head of CMC at Mirati Therapeutics.

Dennis received his BS in Chemistry from the United States Air Force Academy and his PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Southern California.
